The fifth annual Asian American Neighborhood festival on October 12, 2014 was, in keeping with tradition, a wonderful success. Amazing performances, enticing edibles and attractive vendor displays made for a fun afternoon for the hundreds of people in attendance at El Presidio de Santa Barbara State Historic Park. This annual celebration commemorates the rich Asian American history of the Presidio Neighborhood, which served as home to both Chinese and then Japanese communities beginning in the mid-19th century.
